Our buildings and grounds committee provides technical support to assure that the current and future facilities meet the needs of our parish. Many of the current members aide in the assistance for the upkeep and regular maintenance of the buildings that are housed under St. Joseph the Worker, as well as the grounds.

If you are handy by trade, can provide insight on the mechanical workings “behind the scenes” or enjoy volunteering with projects either indoors or outdoors, consider joining our committee!

Plumbers / Carpenters / Electricians / HVAC

Our facilities consist of five buildings. These buildings range from ancient to modern in their construction and design. We also have older members who are on a fixed income and are in need of help with their homes. If you are an individual who can help to advise and complete projects through the year, we need your help! Many hands make light work. If you have been graced with the abilities to work with your hands, we can very much use your help.

Technology

Times are changing and we need to keep up with the times in order to spread the Gospel. If you are versed in technology, web design, video, sound, phone systems, fire systems, security systems, or information technology, we can use your help to update our facilities and move forward in this technological age.

Gardeners / Landscapers

While we are looking at all that is technical, we also are in need of help with the simpler things of life. God has graced us with some beautiful grounds. We are in need of people who like to tend the soil, trim, weed and work with God’s grace around the buildings.

Church Cleaning

Every other Wednesday, a group of people come together to clean the Lord’s House. From sweeping to cleaning the pews and around the Holy Altar, these men and women spend some time to make our church a very clean house of prayer.

Specialists

Always looking to where God is leading us, we can use help in the way of architects, designers, or any other specialty in order to work with God’s design for our future. If you have a special gift which is not listen on here, please feel free to share so we can grow from your knowledge and understanding.
