We believe that God, as Trinity of persons but one in divinity, calls and unites with us through our souls. Our souls are unique and never duplicated. They are our very selves and they are eternally united with God in the love of the Trinity. As we recognize our souls and live out this connection with God, we become more fully our very selves, we become saints. When we turn away from God and sever our relationship we lose ourselves and become consumed with the world, we become damned. Thus, God still loves us and is still loving us through our souls; however, our actions and dispositions also define our relationship with God. God cannot love our false self, only our true self. As God calls us to conversion in this life, He is calling us back to our truest self and reminding us about the love He has for us. This love becomes eternal in heaven. In that realm we truly know God as we are truly known. If we do not know God, or ourselves, we cannot enter heaven; but there is always hope! How do you live your Catholicism?
