Over the past year, parish leadership has met to prayerfully craft a proposed vision that will address underlying priorities in our Church, Fleming Center, and Administration buildings. We now ask each of our valuable parishioners to review this vision and participate in the Feasibility Study for us to gain valuable and necessary feedback. With our mission in mind, we prayerfully enter into this next phase to gain our parishioner’s insights.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
This is an exciting time for St. Joseph the Worker! Since I became pastor, you have heard me talk and write about the need to conduct a capital campaign. The time for talk is over. The time for action has arrived! Many of you have already received information in the mail on a proposed vision that details prioritized needs within the Church, Administration Building, and Fleming Center. To move forward with this campaign, it is important for me to hear from you. I need to know what is on your minds and hearts for our facilities. If you did not receive the mailing, additional copies are available at the Parish Office as well as linked below. To secure your feedback, we have just kicked off our Feasibility Study. This process evaluates what is needed and possible by gaining insights from each of you. With this in mind, I have brought in additional help from our partners at Kirby-Smith Associates. Kirby-Smith will help us receive your input and organize it in a timely manner. Jim Edwards, Sarah Teichmann and Robin Davies will be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to ask for your valuable feedback. You will be able to meet with them at the parish. You can sign up online at bit.ly/sjwinterview2023. If meeting in person is not feasible, arrangements can be made for a conversation by phone or Zoom. You can also give feedback online at bit.ly/sjwfeedback2023. Included with the mailing was a survey. You can also complete the survey online at bit.ly/sjwsurvey2023. All feedback will be held in the strictest of confidence. We would be grateful to you if you could complete the survey either online or by returning it in the provided envelope by February 19, 2023. In closing, I want to thank you for your prayerful support thus far, and also for your openness to this process. Your input in this Feasibility Study is essential to a successful campaign and ensuring the work of God continues at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish for years to come. Pray that the Lord will guide us as we begin the process and that the Lord will guide and bless every aspect of parish life!
In the pursuit of excellence,
The Reverend David W. Bechtel
Pastor
