What is social justice? Social justice can be directly related to the Corporal Acts of Mercy, such as “feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and giving alms to the poor”. As a group, this committee organizes events that focus on living the beatitudes, ensuring that we are fulfilling our duty as Catholics and as moral persons to respect all life and help those with the most basic of needs.

Many different organizations fall under the social justice umbrella. These include and are not limited to: Our food pantry, family promise, as well as marriage enrichment. The social justice committee offers a number of educational opportunities throughout the year. Some of our recent events have included celebrating “World Marriage Day”, coordinating our Blood Donor clinic, book studies, and even a 5k Run,

All interested parishioners and their families are welcome to participate in this group.
