Parish Mission 2020 – The Family of God
Over this past year, many people have come and asked for prayers. Prayers for themselves and prayers for their families. Families who have experienced loss through the death of a loved one, or loss in family members to addiction. Families who have experienced joy and consolation through baptisms and receiving the Sacraments. Families who have come home to the faith and those who have wondered away from God and His Church.
Dr. Joseph Atkinson, from St. John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family is coming to share his insight on families in our modern age.
Come and join our mission!
Sunday, March 8th @ 6:30pm – Why does faith matter?
With all the choices in our world, why does faith matter for a family to be healthy and together? This night is especially appropriate for parents, grandparents, godparents and those who form our children in the practice of the faith.
Monday, March 9th @ 5:30pm – Healing the Family
We all have experienced woundedness in our lives. Jesus calls us to be healed of anything that paralyzes us from loving each other. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered along with prayers of healing for the family and generational wounds.
Tuesday, March 10th @ 5:30pm – Calling God, Our Father
The greatest wound we have as a society is absent fathers. They may be absent emotionally, physically, or spiritually. The role of the father also reveals the love of our Heavenly Father. Come and pray for all fathers and turn to St. Joseph as our model and protector.
Wednesday, March 11th @ 5:30pm – One Faith, One Family
The family is the bedrock of our Church and society. Our Lady of Fatima warns us that the battle for peace and the human soul is not waged with guns but in the strength of each family. Come to this final day to place Christ in the center of your family life.
